Nicole and Norris’s Madbush Falls Wedding felt like such a true reflection of who they are from start to finish. If you’re not familiar with Madbush Falls, it’s such a hidden gem in Vermont! They’ve only recently started hosting weddings, and Nicole and Norris’s day was one of their first few of 2025. Between the waterfall ceremony spot, pond views, and laid-back weekend vibe, it’s perfect for couples who want something a little different and very rooted in nature.

N&N met in Boston and now live in Vermont together. These days, they’re not only building a life side by side, but they’ve also recently launched a mobile sauna business! They share a love for skiing, the outdoors, and having a good time with their family and friends.

Here’s a comment from Nicole on how they found Madbush after they got engaged. I think it’s such a good story!

Nicole: “We got engaged at the top of Mount Abraham in Vermont. We were camping at the time, but the night before it was absolutely pouring, raining, at the top of the mountain. So by the time we got back down, Norris was like, “Do you actually want to camp tonight?” And I was like, absolutely not! Like, let’s splurge a little bit. And we ended up just driving by this place, Madbush Falls… But we had never been there before. We stopped in just to see if they had like a room available and the guy just hooked it up for us and on the spot he was like, we don’t really do weddings, but you guys seem really cool if you want to have a wedding here!”

How cool is that? From getting engaged to stumbling right into your future wedding venue! 🤩

From the very beginning, they were most excited about the waterfall at Madbush (who wouldn’t be?) and having it featured in their photos. They planned their first look & ceremony to happen in front of it. It rained on and off all day (which did shift some of the timeline plans around), but honestly, it made everything better! The rain made the waterfall even bigger and turned the woods the dreamiest shade of green. This made for some stunning photos!

One of the things I love most about these two is how much they care about their people. They hired me to photograph their welcome party the night before so they could really soak in the whole weekend, and I spent time just capturing candid hugs, drinks, and reunions. On the wedding day, we also made sure to capture more candids, laughs, and partying the night away since that was important to them also!
